I am a 26-year-old wildlife photographer from Devon. I’ve had a growing passion for all aspects of wildlife and wildlife photography for about 5 years. This passion was embedded in me at a young age, as my father used to take me and my family out bug hunting and wildlife watching.

I started to get into wildlife photography about 5 years ago when I decided to start heading out with my dad again when he used to go out wildlife watching. I had never really heard or seen much about wildlife photography before and didn’t know a lot about it, it wasn’t until I decided to go out I noticed other people out taking photos of the wildlife and decided I needed to give it a go.

The first camera I purchased was a Fujifilm Finepix bridge camera with a 15x optical zoom. This camera allowed me to start getting into the photography side of things and after a year or so with it, I decided I needed a camera that had more reach and more flexibility to help enhance the photos I could get. This is when I purchased my first DSLR camera which was a Sony A58, and soon after I purchased a Tamron 150-600mm Lens which was a huge step up for me. It allowed me to get that much closer and improve my photos.

After a few years with the Sony A58 I then moved up to the setup I’m currently using now which is the Nikon D500 paired with the Nikon 200-500mm lens which is incredible. I do plan to keep this setup for a long time and hopefully continue to improve my photography even further! I’ve recently been getting more into macro photography too which has been another aspect of photography to learn which is interesting and I would also like to take my skill level even further with that too! If you would like to check out the other gear I’m using and see some behind-the-scenes footage of how I get my photos please go check out my gear list above and also my YouTube channel!
